The girl was in the park after leaving school when she was grabbed by the arm and pulled, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said. Another person at the park stepped in to help the girl, and the man eventually ran away, the sheriff's department said.
"The suspect grabbed the victim's arm and pulled her with him as he said she was not going anywhere," the department said in a statement. "A good Samaritan at the park intervened and confronted the suspect. When the good Samaritan threated to call the police, the suspect let go of the victim and lunged forward in an attempt to grab the arm of another young child that was with the good Samaritan."
